Individualism is indefensible, and has consistently been a huge factor in the failure of revolutionary organizing. Repackaging it as radical by arguing it woud result in caring for others because doing so is best for oneself does not make it any better. The entire paradigm of individualism is dangerous. There are no individuals, we are social beings and as Butler has so clearly demonstrated we are not separable from those around us, who’s presence makes us who we are and in who’s absence we cease to be who we were. The tenants of individualism are fundamentally philosophically incorrect and nonsensical, and irrefutably politically dangerous and counterevolutionary.
Honestly, my favorite thing at the moment is all the marvel headcanons where Hela wasn’t cray-cray homicidal, and she’s an overprotective bitchy sister.
